“25 Years … Look Up!” This poster’s graphic design follows methods used by Bauhaus-era artists such as Herbert Bayer and László Moholy-Nagy: attenuated proportion, layered transparency, and contrasting scale typography. And, like all successful graphics, this poster conveys its essential message at a distance, with additional information visible when seen from close up.

Jeremy Kargon is an architect and graphic designer based in Washington, D.C. Between 1994 and 2003, he worked in Jerusalem for prominent architects Hillel Schocken and Daniel Assayag. His poster 25 Years … Look Up! pays homage to the Bauhaus legacy through design principles used by Herbert Bayer and László Moholy-Nagy: distorted proportions, layered transparencies, and bold typography. The poster communicates clearly from a distance while revealing more upon close inspection.

#28 – Anna Finkelsteinhttps://bauhaus-center.com/book-shop/poster/25-years-exhibition-posters/28-anna-finkelstein/ Thu, 14 Aug 2025 08:30:20 +0000 https://bauhaus-center.com/?post_type=product&p=6285

I chose the sculpture ‘Rising’ by Menashe Kadishman — a geometric and iconic Tel Aviv figure — and combined it with the graphic language of the Bauhaus, to give it a new context and a fresh design angle.

Anna Finkelstein, Tel Avivian (as it turned out), an art director in advertising and a graphic designer. Addicted to minimalism and always looking to distill form and rhythm. I have been walking this city for decades, absorbing its mess. In my works — like all of us — I try to find order in the chaos.

#25 – Rainer Raczinskihttps://bauhaus-center.com/book-shop/poster/25-years-exhibition-posters/25-rainer-raczinski/ Thu, 14 Aug 2025 08:14:26 +0000 https://bauhaus-center.com/?post_type=product&p=6279

״Bauhaus in the Land of Milk and Honey״, This poster shows a more classic design in the spirit of the well-known Bauhaus aesthetic, featuring an image of the Bauhaus Center. The large dot grid became popular as an ironic stylistic device in poster design after the introduction of digital printing technology around the turn of the millennium, thus referencing the period in which the Bauhaus Center was founded.

I find the slogan “Bauhaus in the land flowing with milk and honey” apt. At the time of its founding, Israel promised a utopian and libertarian future politically, sociologically, and culturally. This matched the Bauhaus, which at its founding also promised a social and cultural utopia and developed a corresponding aesthetic form. In retrospect, it is clear that a surprising number of these promises were fulfilled.

Rainer Raczinski, born in Berlin, studied Art and Photo Design at the HbK Kassel and Biology at the University of Kassel. His artistic focus is Polaroid photography, a medium he has used exclusively since the 1970s.

#24 – Rickey Benyaminhttps://bauhaus-center.com/book-shop/poster/25-years-exhibition-posters/24-rickey-benyamin/ Thu, 14 Aug 2025 08:09:38 +0000 https://bauhaus-center.com/?post_type=product&p=6277

In the work presented, I attempted to revive the spirit of Bauhaus through three visual mediums: illustration, computer graphics, and architecture. Inspired by the multidisciplinary approach of the Bauhaus movement, which crossed boundaries between architecture, interior design, graphic design, furniture, and houseware, I chose to express its influence in three different forms, each drawing from the functional and aesthetic principles of the style. The work seeks to offer a contemporary interpretation of the values on which the Bauhaus movement is based, while maintaining the clean lines, precise engineering, and the aspiration to unite art, technology, and everyday life.

Rickey Benjamin, born in 1965, lives and creates in Israel. After military service (Nahal Corps), I went to New York, where I lived for 15 years. I studied art for 3 years at the League Students Art. While studying graphics, I worked in an advertising agency and did graphic design as a freelancer. After 15 years in New York, I lived in Brazil for two years, where I mainly worked in art. In 2001, I returned to Israel. Since then, I have been a graphic designer/video editor in the Department of Communication at the Weizmann Institute of Science.

#23 – Elena Gornhttps://bauhaus-center.com/book-shop/poster/25-years-exhibition-posters/22-elena-gorn/ Thu, 14 Aug 2025 07:59:40 +0000 https://bauhaus-center.com/?post_type=product&p=6272

Elena Gorn’s ״Solar Residue״ explores Tel Aviv’s modernist architecture and its interaction with light. Using acrylic and sand on canvas, the textured, minimalist geometry evokes Bauhaus legacy and the memory of the Mediterranean sun.

Created for the 25th anniversary of the Bauhaus Center Tel Aviv, this work reflects on the history of the city’s modernist facades and their dialogue with light. Palette-knife texture, a restrained color palette, and White City minimalism pay homage to the Bauhaus legacy.

Elena Gorn (b. 1978, Moscow) is a Tel Aviv–based artist whose minimalist, texture-driven paintings blend acrylic, sand, and granules to explore memory and material. Her work weaves personal and cultural narratives through abstract explorations of form and light.
