Art Nouveau in Riga

The Museum of the Association of Culture Institutions of Riga City Council “Riga Art Nouveau Centre” presents the traveling exhibition, “Riga’s Art Nouveau in Architecture and Art”. The exhibition presents the Art Nouveau style in its many forms; architecture, art (painting, graphic design, prints) and interior design (including décor items).
The exhibition will give the audience an opportunity to explore Riga from afar, The capital of Latvia; a modern, industrial, cultural center, The main port in the Baltic Sea, And most importantly – a significant architectural gem and the metropolis of the Art Nouveau. The exhibition aims to raise awareness about Riga and create a unique cooperation between Israel and Latvia.
The curator of the exhibition is M.Arch. Velta Holcmane. Curator consultants are Dr.Arch. John Krastiņš, Dr. Arch. Agrita Tipāne, M.A. Aija Brasliņa.
