This exhibition displays Sharon Raz’s series of photographs depicting buildings at risk of ‘extinction’ throughout Israel. Raz relates deteriorating buildings to animals, where each style is a species, some rare and some common to the Israeli landscape. Raz captures the deteriorating buildings before they are gone forever and is able to preserve their memory. In doing so, he is bringing awareness to the issue of building preservation and expressing a desire to protect the architecture of Israel.
