Irina Zagato was born in 1973 in Latvia and became an Olah Hadasha in Israel in January 2023, together with her husband, a molecular biology scientist. Originally trained and working as an ophthalmologist, she later followed her dream of becoming an artist. She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and further studied under leading Latvian artists. In 2025, she was recognized as an “exceptionally outstanding artist” by the Israeli Artists Committee.
