Description
This poster explores both elements of Bauhaus/International Style design from the 1930’s and successful architectural renovation in recent times. Inspired by Bauhaus architectural and graphic design, the poster uses clean geometric shapes and an elemental color palette, in a modern idiom.
The typography draws on the 1930 book jacket for Bauhaus Buildings Dessau by László Moholy-Nagy. Both the poster and book feature Futura Black and versions of a geometric shape font by Josef Albers.
Depicted is an interpretation of the renovated 1935 Cooper House on Emile Zola Street, Tel Aviv by Haim Sima and A. Glick. Renovation: David Aharoni (1997).
